THANK YOU!!!!

Thank You to all the students, parents, teachers, and friends who came out to support us Monday night at McTeacher Night.  Ms. Gurney’s class won the happy meal party for having the most students out of her class attend McTeacher Teacher!!!  Congratulations first grade!

TOMORROW IS BACKWARDS DAY!!!!  It is our Costumes for Community time this Friday and donations will go to Willard Children’s Charity Fund that goes to help Willard students.

YEARBOOK SALES are due tomorrow as well.

YEARBOOK ORDERS

GOOD NEWS!!!  The deadline to purchase your elementary yearbook has been extended to Friday, January 27th.  This year our Student Council will be assisting the development of our yearbook!

ALSO, Monday the 23rd is McTeacher Night at the Willard McDonalds on Hunt Road from 4-8!

WELCOME BACK!!!

I hope everyone had a long and restful break.  We are back into the swing of things with our first full week of school in the new year.  Just a few reminders and calendar updates for this month:

NO SCHOOL:  January 16th is a teacher work day and there is no school.

SICK DAYS:  If your child is sick, please call us and let us know.  This is cold and flu season and there have been a lot of absences.  We will be calling to check on your child if the school does not receive a call by 9:00.

MCTEACHER NIGHT:  We will be having a McTeacher Night on January 23rd from 4-8pm at the Willard McDonalds!!!  Class with the most attendance will win a happy meal party!

MCDONALDS’ COOKIE SALES:  We are preselling a baker’s dozen of McDonald’s chocolate chip cookies in the office before McTeacher Night.  If you want to preorder your cookies, please send your money in to your child’s teacher.

SUPER TIGER CELEBRATION:  Will be on January 25th at 2:30

COSTUMES FOR COMMUNITY:  This month we will be celebrating costumes for community on Friday, January 27th.  Our theme is backwards day!

This is going to be a very short week of school and our last week in 2011!!!  Just a few announcements for this week:

SUPER TIGER:  Will be on Tuesday the 20th at 2:30.

SCHOOLWIDE PAJAMA DAY:  Will be Wednesday the 21st.  We will also be accepting donations for our Costumes for Communities on that day to go the Willard Food Pantry to help keep in stock for the winter months.

EARLY OUT:  School will dismiss on Wednesday at 12:30.

FIRST DAY BACK 2012:  Our first day back to school will be Wednesday, January 4th.

12/5/2011 IT’S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS

The weather is quickly changing and getting very cold!!!  We have only a few weeks before Winter Break, but we have a lot going on!!!

SPIRIT WEAR:  Has arrived!!!  If you ordered spiritwear and designated it for Christmas, it will be in the office to pick up.  Otherwise it will be sent home with your child.

4TH GRADE MUSIC PROGRAM:  At the high school Thursday night at 6:30.  We will also present it to the the school on Friday at 2:30 in the cafeteria.

3RD GRADE READING NIGHT:  Will be Thursday from 3:30 – 7:00 for all 3rd grade students

1st GRADE READING NIGHT:  Will be next Tuesday the 13th from 4:00-6:00.

SUPER TIGER FOR DECEMBER:  Will be on Tuesday the 20th instead of the 21st beginning at 2:30.

PAJAMA DAY: On the 21st.

HALF DAY:  December 21st.  School dismissed at 12:30.
